Welcome to our studio of hand-painting icons! We are Ruxandra Lacatus and Elisabeta Bonef, two Romanian artists totally and passionately dedicated to the ancient art of hand-painting icons, art that we practice for more than ten years.



We graduated the School of Byzantine Painting at the Orthodox Theology University in Bucharest. We are grateful to this school that harmoniously mixes the artistic part with the theological side so much necessary to profoundly understand the religious message of the icon.



Today, you can see our iconostases in several churches and monasteries in Romania.Our work is also present in private collections in Germany, France, England, Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria, USA and Canada.
